Neighborhood S.A.F.E.

Marin Family Action's Neighborhood S.A.F.E. program started in Novato, Marin County, California with a multi-pronged approach at making our neighborhoods safe and friendly environments. Because of the success of the program, it has been duplicated in Ft. Myers, Lee County, Florida.

Neighborhood S.A.F.E. Programs for various ages focus on:

  1. Union Bank Spin the Wheel at the annual block party.Educational Programs, including Financial Literacy for Youth and Adults and after-school tutoring in math and English
  2. Neighborhood Watch with cooperation from the Novato Police Department, "Block Captains" and neighborhood forums and problem solving
  3. Neighborhood Activities: Annual Block Party (right: Union Bank prize wheel); Summertime Activities, inlcuding Movie Night, Ice Cream Socials, and Sports Activities
  4. Disaster Preparedness: Get Ready Marin
